Description
Settle into the new season with Stylecraft’s beautiful A Love Letter to Autumn Crochet-Along, designed by Anita Gibney of Made by Anita.
Inspired by autumn’s changing colours, golden light and cosy evenings, the finished throw is constructed from 49 crocheted squares. The free pattern is released in seven manageable parts, beginning with familiar granny-square techniques and gradually introducing new stitches, textures and colourwork.
Written instructions and supporting video tutorials are available through the Stylecraft website, making this an enjoyable project for confident beginners as well as more experienced crocheters.

About our yarn selection
The Sew Irish pack combines six balls of Stylecraft Life DK with six balls of Stylecraft Special DK. Both are soft, practical DK-weight yarns with closely compatible tension and character, and we have carefully matched the colours to create a beautifully coordinated autumn palette.
A few shades differ very subtly from those shown in Stylecraft’s original photographs, without altering the overall character of the design.
Stylecraft Life DK is a blend of 75% premium acrylic and 25% wool. Stylecraft Special DK is 100% premium acrylic. As the completed throw contains wool, please take this into account if purchasing for someone with a wool sensitivity and follow the Life DK care instructions for the finished blanket.
You will also need
- 3.5mm, 4mm and 4.5mm crochet hooks
- Stitch markers
- A yarn needle for sewing in ends and assembling the throw
These accessories are not included in the yarn pack.
Pattern information
The crochet pattern is not included with the yarn pack. Each part can be downloaded free from the Stylecraft website, with accompanying tutorials from designer Anita Gibney.
There is no need to keep strictly to the weekly schedule. You can join in at any stage and complete your blanket entirely at your own pace.
