One of two advanced dressmaking classes are suitable for those who already have some dressmaking experience and are confident using a sewing machine. The aim is to build your confidence to take on more challenging projects. The classes are fast-paced, and will require accurate machine stitching. I assume knowledge of certain basic dressmaking principles. Though not essential, to get most out of the day, participants should bring their own sewing machine. The object is to create sample work that participants can refer to during future dressmaking projects.
Next classes: Thursday, 8th May; Saturday, 26th July
Add a little finesse to future dressmaking projects. You’ll be creating a wallet of sample zip applications, seam finishes, custom pockets, and collars that that you can use to add the odd designer touch to an otherwise plain pattern. This is a great confidence-building class, for those who like to customise their dressmaking patterns for a personal touch.
